With the increasing use of lithium-ion batteries in many industrial sectors, the need for specific fire safety measures, tailored to the fire risks they present, is more crucial than ever. While a BS EN3 certification specifically for portable fire extinguishers for lithium-ion battery fires has not yet been established, we are at the forefront of innovation in this field in collaboration with AVD Fire.
Developed in collaboration with KIWA and the Royal Netherlands Institute for Standardization , the NTA 8133 technical standard is currently the only standard in force for testing the performance of portable fire extinguishers on lithium-ion battery fires.
